Jumpers for Goalposts is not just about football. It’s about bringing people together from all different types of backgrounds. I personally have loved being involved with the team and have gained so much confidence. We all support each other on and off the field. JFG is one big family credit to Jamie & Pete for making this possible.

I started coming to JFG back in June of 2022 and have loved every second of it. Never really been into football or playing it for that matter until I joined. My skills and overall fitness have improved since joining. A friend of mine asked me and a few others to come along and we’ve not stopped coming since! It gives me something to look forward too at the end of a work day. The people I’ve met from it are just class, great group of individuals. Would highly recommend people to join and have done!

After Covid my mental state was really low.

I hadn’t played football in over 10 years and my fitness was non-existent.

The group are now some of my best friends, I look forward to each session and have such a good time.

My mental state and fitness have shot up, I cannot thank the guys enough for the work they put in.

Everyone is welcome, all ages, sexes and footballing abilities. Wether you want a simple kickabout or a more intense training session, there is something for everyone! Not only is everyone welcome, but the improvements that I have seen in myself and numerous other players is astounding!

I love football and it’s the sport I would really like to play. Jumpers for Goalposts group will always have a place in my heart and that is the same for many other people too. There’s a strong sense of ‘family’ at the group.

I really found myself somewhere there and found a place where I belong.

I came to the group during the darkest period of my life, the camaraderie and positivity through football quite literally saved my life and continues to be an inspiration to me to this day.

Such a fantastic group, since my son Calvin, joined he’s become a different person. Calvin has learning disabilities and autism, and he struggles to make friends along with other issues that have led to being bullied relentlessly. since joining he was welcomed into the group, and he’s learnt new technics and disciplines that he didn’t have in football. this group have also given Calvin an outlet that’s enabled him to mix with a group of people who accept him for who is no matter the issues. since going his confidence has come on leaps and bounds, and he looks forward to each session.

Anyone who wants to join that struggles with confidence issues or wants someone to talk to I highly recommend joining this group.

Since joining JFG I have seen a lot of improvement within myself, my confidence rose, I have made friends who I can laugh with weekly and enjoy playing football each week. Overall playing for JFG has made me a better person and I will continue to play with them for as long as I can
